A family enjoys the Rent-A-Tepee, complete with camping equipment, at Petit Jean State Park.

Petit Jean State Park is a prime location for a weekend getaway or a two week vacation. Whether you are staying in a tent or an RV, or you have no camping equipment at all, the park has a place for you. Our campsites are available year round. So no matter the season, the weather is always great for camping at Petit Jean. Guests can choose from wooded or lake view sites. Pull through or back in spots are available.

Petit Jean State Park offers 126 campsites, with electric and water hook-ups.

The park contains 125 individual campsites (including 26 pull-through sites) offering water and electrical hook-ups. 35 of the sites have 50 amp electric and sewer. All sites are reservable year round. Sites are divided into 4 areas with modern bathhouses in each. There is also a 44-unit rally style camping area available for camping clubs. A reservable Group Camp Area is available year round with heated bathhouse in winter. A trailer sanitary station is located centrally in the campgrounds near the rally style camping area. Campers enjoy an evening by the campfire atop Petit Jean Mountain.

For those who don't own camping equipment, two Rent-A-Camps and two Rent-a-Tepees are available March through November. These include either the tent or the tepee, sleeping mats, camp stove and other camping gear. They also include a canoe, oars, life jackets and seat cushions. The Rent-A-Camps will sleep up to 4 people and the Rent-A-Tepee up to 6.

Petit Jean is Arkansas's only state park with its own airport. The airport is open for daytime use only. Aviation enthusiasts are invited to enjoy the airport’s fly-in campground that features five tent sites with water and electric hookups, picnic tables, grills, lantern holders, and tent pads. One site is barrier-free to accommodate visitors with disabilities. The campground includes a modern bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets.
